The candidates are advised to go through the requirements of education qualification, age and other requirements and satisfy themselves that they are eligible for the posts concerned before applying. Candidates seeking reservation benefits available must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed. Only a single application is entertained. Candidature is respect of multiple applications is summarily rejected.
Examination fee is exempted for all women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation.
Importantly, the SSC gives extra days in due sending application to candidates residing in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim, Tripura, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi sub division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh and Lakshadweep.
Candidates need to send or submit complete application in the prescribed format to the regional office concerned of the Staff Selection Commission. Candidates using SSC online application must retain the registration number assigned to them online for further correspondence with the commission. They do not require submission of printouts to the commission.
The Staff Selection Commission holds examination on Sundays.
Candidates who qualify in the examinations are recommended for appointment by the commission on the basis of their performance.
