It is a policy in which policyholders get endowment plan. It premium payment modes are monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly. The policy has won golden peacock award. Policyholders make the lic premium payment through HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Times of Money, Bill Junction, UTI Bank, Bank of Punjab, Citibank, Corporation Bank, Federal Bank and BillDesk, aand through the ATMs of Corporation Bank and UTI Bank. There is ECS (Electronic Clearing Service) system available at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Goa, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, Pune, Secunderabad, Trivandrum and Vijaywada and Visakhapatnam. The LIC Jeevan Saral policy is available anytime from anywhere in India.

Essentially, the Jeevan Saral policyholders pay their premiums on due dates. In case of lapse, there is a grace period of one month yearly and 15 days for monthly premiums. When grace period expires on a Sunday or a public holiday, the LIC premium is then paid on the following working day in order to keep the LIC policy in force.
